River City Casino

In 2004, St. Louis County Port Authority selected Pinnacle Entertainment to develop River City Casino. March 2010, Pinnacle Entertainment celebrated the grand opening of its World's Fair-inspired casino, reflecting Missouri's river town atmosphere at the peak of steamboat trade.

Phase I - Aside from its entertainment value, River City bolsters the local economy, adding 1,100 new jobs and $375 million in investment in the first phase. The site, located approximately 56 acres south of the confluence of the Mississippi River and River des Peres, included the replacement of Weber Road Bridge and a new roadway connector from I-55 to the Mississippi riverfront.

Phase II - The River City expansion project includes a 10,000-square-foot event center and 1,700-space parking garage, completed in November 2012, and 200 hotel rooms slated to open in September 2013. The $82 million investment includes the addition of 350 construction jobs and 100 permanent jobs.
