River City Casino
Phase I - Aside from its entertainment value, River City bolsters the local economy, adding 1,100 new jobs and $375 million in investment in the first phase. The site, located approximately 56 acres south of the confluence of the Mississippi River and River des Peres, included the replacement of Weber Road Bridge and a new roadway connector from I-55 to the Mississippi riverfront.
Phase II - River City is expanding its plans to include 200 hotel rooms, a 10,000-square-foot event center and 1,700-space parking garage. The $82 million investment includes the addition of 350 construction jobs and 100 permanent jobs.
