MO Civil War Heritage Foundation
A small investment can be very recognizable. For some time, the Ulysses S. Grant Driving Trail was missing links to Jefferson Barracks and the surrounding area. The grant allowed for signs to be erected, identifying historical sites established during Grant's epic Civil War journey.
With the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War being celebrated, there is increased interest in visiting the famous sites of the struggle that defined the United States. Missouri, especially St. Louis, is home to many of the events which occurred on the path to defining America. These markers will help us remember those fateful days.
